A well hit drive will clear the valley in front of the tee and will cover a good part of the distances. Leaving a choice, according to the ability of the player, of either a safe iron to the right-hand side of the fairway, or an aggressive wood shot over the corner of the dog-leg into a position much nearer to the green. In any event, the water hazard bounding the right side of the fairway must be avoided. The green is guarded by two large bunkers.
