Last weekend the final day of the Andalusian Pitch and Putt Doubles Championships It was held at Bil Bil Golf. After the two initial rounds held on Saturday (one in the fourball mode in the morning, and another in the foursome mode in the afternoon) on Sunday the 35 participating couples played 18 holes under the Copa Canada modality.
The high temperatures accompanied the players especially during Saturday. Something that didn’t influence in the quality of the game of the participants that showed an excellent level.
Sunday ended with the game couple formed by Fermín Palma Iri and Marco Furnell and the one formed by the brothers Guillermo and Esteban Cervantes tied with a cumulative total of 204 strokes. So a playoff was carried out to know the winner´s name. In the second hole of tiebrake, Fermín and Marco, federated by Santa Maria Golf & Country Club, obtained the trophy.
The Royal Andalusian Golf Federation has highlighted the high participation of couples formed by members of the same family. One fact, they emphasize, that once again highlights that golf is an ideal sport to enjoy as a family.
